Services

This service tends to have the widest range of ages attending. The 9:00 service has many families as well as our more adult members. There are teaching activities run for the children (Kids’ Church) which the children head out to behind the first of the service any children visiting are welcome to join in. The meeting tends to go for a bit over an hour, behind which there is a morning tea in the hall. The 11:00 meeting started in 1997 as a more relaxed style of meeting, allowing for the chaos of families. Each week, behind the meeting, some members bear a light lunch for everyone to share in the hall. Church is aimed at young adults, but includes people of all ages. The goal is accessibility so that newcomers and regulars equivalent are capable to grasp what Jesus has done for us and what that means for our lives. We have supper afterwards so people can hang around and chat, and regularly share dinner together during the meeting. Each term we run a A evening where people can anonymously ask any inquire they have about God. Mark and Josh have received many appropriate questions about God from the children of St. Peter’s, and will attempt to answer as many of these as they can. Jesus commanded his followers to listen to his teachings, to pray for the things that protection them and to receive concern of each other and our Sunday meetings are an important part of doing these things. Visitors are more than welcome to come along and sit in to see what takes place. The four services each have a diverse style, but a usual meeting involves a time of singing, listening to some readings from the Bible, a time of prayer and the presentation of a talk. The service is carried out, at present, in a combine of English and Arabic.
